 Founded in 1952 and well-established, China National Light Industrial Products Import and Export Corporation (ChinaLight for short) is a state foreign trade entity with abundant financial resources, good business reputation and bright prospects. The company is involved in four major business areas in relation to pulp and paper, natural resources, international trade (such as import & export), and financial services (such as investment, financing and capital operation). In 2008, Chinalight was incorporated into China General Technology (Group) Holding Limited with a view to reinforcing mutual strengths, rationalizing & optimizing allocation of resources, constantly opening up new fields and stepping up operational efficiency.
As the largest supplier on China's pulp market with more than thirty years of business operation, Chinalight is now seeing its annual pulp import volume making up 25% of the national total. Chinalight has started to penetrate into the operation of natural resource products. Innovation-oriented, Chinalight has developed its operation of the natural resources into an ever-growing sector and has created its initial market influence. Those natural resource products involve copper, polyethylene, polypropylene, timber, marble, aquatic products, chrome, manganese, borax, rubber and coca beans, etc. Of those products, imports of copper concentrate account for over 20% of the total on China’s domestic import trade market, and the latex imports rank first in China.
As one of the leading importers and exporters of light industry products, daily consumer products and finished industrial products in China, ChinaLight boasts for its good market reputation, extensive business channels, solid customer foundation and stronger market competitiveness. Through the continuous optimization and innovation, Chinalight has won proprietary IPR and national patent for its new type of porcelain grinding medium products and has built itself into the world's largest producer of porcelain grinding medium.
